OF COURSE THE MUSIC:
FLYING IBEX have varied musical pasts including work with Mark Ronson and Moloko. From their beginnings as the house band at a commune of artists in south London, improvising to silent films and theatre pieces, the band have progressed through a sea of influences.
They listen to old African pop cassettes and Brazilian Maracatu, mess around with delay pedals, and generally run down avenues of sound that are potentially as weird as they are potentially accessible.
Lisa Canny With traditional music at the foundation of her music — having 7 All-Ireland titles on harp and banjo to boot! — mixed with Lisa’s hugely soulful voice and classic pop songwriting influences, expect to hear something similar to a modern take on the likes of Kate Bush or Sinead O’Connor.
