¡Arepa! ¡Arepa! ¡Arepa! at Trove July 2015
Thursday, 9 July 2015 from 19:30 to 23:00 (BST)
This will sadly be our last takeover at Trove as we will be taking a break to concentrate on other projects. Thanks to everyone who has come down to try our food since we started taking over the lovely Trove kitchen!
Cóctel de Sandía
This refreshing blend of rum, watermelon and lime is the perfect thing to wake up your 'boca'!
After arepas, probably the most popular Colombian snack food is the humble empanada. We hope you enjoy our beef and potato maize 'pasties' served with tomato and cilantro ají.
Tamales are a Colombian staple. This mini pork corn cake is steamed in a banana leaf and served with a zingy salsa criolla.
Sudado de Pollo
The most simple of chicken stews, using the full cupboard of Colombian ingredients. Chicken legs are slow cooked alongside peppers and potatoes in cumin, garlic and cilantro and served with avocado, rice and arepa. Full belly guaranteed.
Tres Leches de Chocolate con Granizado de Café
A variation on Colombia's favourite cake! Chocolate meets three types of milk and vanilla. Dessert features a bonus caffeine hit this month, namely a sweet iced coffee granita.

Now because we do use a variety of sometimes difficult to source ingredients we have to warn you that some of the items might be slightly tweaked when served on the night. We'll provide table water on the night as well as a welcome cocktail but we would encourage you to bring along a wine or a beer to enjoy along with your meal.
If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to tweet us up or drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
When & Where
We are two residents of Manchester bringing our favourite food to the streets of Northern England and beyond. We are 25% Colombian and have spent a great deal of time in Colombia of which most of that time was spent eating arepas. Our hope is that the good people of Great Britain will embrace this humble street food and fall in love with it just like we did!
