ARG UK Autumn Seminar Series: Engaging community champions – innovative outreach for amphibians and reptiles with diverse communities.

About this Event

ARG UK Autumn Seminar Series: Engaging community champions – developing and evaluating innovative outreach programmes for amphibians and reptiles with diverse and hard to reach communities. Presented by Angela Julian (Coordinator ARG UK), we will explore novel ways of engaging with different community groups. Our panel of expert speakers will present their own innovative outreach programmes, including Sam Kelly (ARG UK) who will tell us about the impact of Adders are Amazing!, engaging communities in Pembrokeshire with our only venomous snake; David Willis (Hertfordshire ARG), who will tell us about his training and outreach with staff and offenders in the criminal justice system; and Marina Igorova (Queens University Belfast), who will be telling us about the outreach programmes she has developed, including her research into the critically endangered Lake Titicaca Water Frog. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with an opportunity for participants to ask questions or raise other points. (Images copyright Angela Julian and Sam Kelly).

Please note this is an online event powered by Zoom. With thanks to The Garfield Weston Foundation, who have kindly sponsored our evening on Engaging Community Champions.
