About this event

Tellus Theatre Company presents Arias for Phonograph & Singers - a (family-friendly) show aimed at theatre-goers who love to think outside the box. This Clown Opera explores the idea of discovering music for the very first time in a fast-paced postmodern style. With their fascinating new machine up and running, our ill-tempered Clowns realise that with each vinyl disc they play, they’ll be transported into entirely different worlds. From a battlescene featuring a damsel in distress surrounded by thugs, to a sunny park bench, where one shares lunch with an old friend, or even to the depths of revisiting the memories of a long-lost love. A comedy that aims to elicit the musical memory of the audience, inhabiting an abstract pocket of reality where our known rules don't always apply - using traditional forms of commedia dell’arte, Clown, Opera, and a little bit of magic!

Starring: The three tenors? More like the three terrors! Holly Campbell, Oliver Ellard, and Noa Zatta.

Directed by Zoë Boyd
