Arise My Love - Choral Music of Passion and Devotion
Event Information
About this event
Recordare is an exciting young professional vocal ensemble founded by conductor Harry Bradford and Sopranos Danni and Kirsty O’Neill. Formed in November 2018, the group consists of alumni from the Genesis Sixteen scheme, the Royal Academy of Music and former choral scholars from many of the UK’s leading collegiate choirs. Many of our singers have also performed with leading groups such as the Tallis Scholars, The Gabrieli Consort, Tenebrae and The Sixteen, as well as being accomplished soloists in both oratorio and opera. The size of the group often varies depending on the musical demands of the project; this allows us to enjoy performing both intimate solo-voice programmes as well as more large-scale choral works.
Previous performances have included concerts for Remembrance and Holy Week in St James' Sussex Gardens, Frank Martin’s ‘Mass for Double Choir’ in St Margaret's Putney as well as opening the prestigious 'Spotlight Concert' as part of The Sixteen's ‘Sounds Sublime Festival’. The group has also appeared across Classic FM's social media channels; firstly with a performance of a movement from Howells' ‘Requiem’ for Remembrance Day 2018, commemorating 100 years since the Armistice and more recently with 'Away in a Manger' for Christmas that amassed over 75,000 views.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Recordare have enjoyed working with the 10,000 strong Choir Of The Earth (with worldwide membership) creating learning tracks and providing solos for their ‘Requiems at Home’ and ‘Christmas at Home’ projects. More recently, the group enjoyed a day of recording and filming at St Gabriel’s Church, Pimlico and will be releasing four tracks across our social media channels and website from November 2021.
