Event description

Description

This event is for home-educated learners, as part of the Norwich Science Festival Learning Programme.

Pete the Park Keeper is very upset. The park has flooded after a big storm and all the animals and insects have been washed out of their homes.

They’re all very confused - rabbits are in birds’ nests, frogs in beehives and woodlice on waterlilies! With Professor Ossie’s advice, can you help Pete find the creatures’ correct homes?

Drama Resource promotes the use of drama as a learning medium. The organisation provides training and resources for teachers through national courses, international visits and residencies. Based in Norwich, the company is run by director David Farmer.

This interactive session, from Drama Resource and Jim Kavanagh, will see the students use storytelling, physical drama and art to tell the story of the Ark in the Park whilst learning about living things and habitats.

Ages 4-5

PLEASE NOTE!

Home educators with learners under 16 must stay with them during the booked sessions.

Due to space and number restrictions we cannot book in learners outside of the specified ages. We love babies! BUT PLEASE no buggies/prams or babes in arms. We totally appreciate this means extra organisation for you as parents/carers, but ensuring that all the visiting adults and young learner/s get the most out of the workshops is our priority.

4-6 year olds will be split into 3 groups

7-10 year olds will be split in up to 5 groups

11-18 year olds will be kept as one group

Siblings and friends can be kept together.

Date of visit: Please note that visits times are fixed. Ensure you can arrive and leave at the times specified. The workshops are fixed lengths.

Facilities: There will be space to leave coats and lunch boxes, an area designated for you all to eat lunch, water stations and toilets. Please use the toilets specified by the FT learning team on the day. Public toilets can be used, but at your own discretion.

Evaluations: The Forum Trust is the independent, self-financing charitable organisation. Your visit feedback is vital in order for The Forum to continue to offer learning opportunities and make our learning events the best they can be for you and your learner/s. By signing this booking form you are agreeing to complete short educator and learner survey. This should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time.

Refunds: Unfortunately no refunds can be given once your booking has been received.
