Latecomers may not be given access.About the speakers:Armando Iannucci is the writer, director and producer famous for creating amongst many other shows Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge, The Thick of It, In the Loop, Veep, The Death of Stalin,  and The Personal History of David Copperfield. He is Professor of Broadcast Media at Oxford University. As a teenager he seriously considered becoming a priest.Peter Fincham was MD at TV production company Talkback until 2005. He then became Controller of BBC One and from 2008 to 2016 was Director of Television at ITV. In 2017 he co-founded independent production company Expectation. His series What’s Funny About? in which he and Jon Plowman interview comedy greats to get to the bottom of what makes good comedy, is currently airing on on Radio 4 Extra.Mark VernonDr Mark Vernon is a psychotherapist, writer, broadcaster and teacher. He presents several Idler Academy online courses. He has a PhD in philosophy, and degrees in theology and physics. His most recent books include – The Idler Guide To Ancient Philosophy (Idler Books), Love: All That Matters (Hodder) and Jung: How To Believe (Guardian Shorts) – and he has books on friendship, belief and the good life too. Mark can often be heard on Moral Maze. He began his professional life as a priest in the Church of England.
