A free workshop for Activity Coordinators in residential care homes designed to get your residents motivated, active and creative.
About this event
Armchair Adventures is a colourful, fictional and interactive podcast people made by older people in our community for children. It is a colourful, fictional and interactive podcast series for has already reached over 15,000 people online and have even featured on BBC Radio 4!
Unlike other podcasts, Armchair Adventures is interactive. An accompanying activity pack includes drama, movement and music-making activities to enjoy and experiment with as you create your own Armchair Adventure.
In this fun and interactive workshop, a drama facilitator and a music facilitator will demonstrate some of the activities in the activity pack, giving you the confidence to deliver the activities to your residents and make their own Armchair Adventure!
The workshop is suitable for Activity Coordinators in a residential care home setting, for carers visiting people in their own homes and for anyone working with older people.
On booking this workshop, we will send you a physical copy of the activity pack and accompanying CD, which is also available for free online.
The workshop will last for an hour and a half and will be delivered via Zoom.
