Arnolfini: Daphne Wright – Emotional Archaeology
To celebrate the Arnolfini being shortlisted by the Art Fund for Museum of the Year 2016, members are invited to a very special evening event. The evening will start with a short talk about Arnolfini’s history and why it has been shortlisted. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. There will then be an introduction to the current Daphne Wright exhibition, a sculpture based in Bristol, followed by a bespoke guided tour of the exhibition in small groups. Daphne Wright uses a wide range of materials- plaster, tinfoil, video, printmaking, found objects and performance- she creates worlds that are beautiful and rather eerie which feel like the threshold to somewhere new.
The venue is fully accessible and the Arnolfini bar is open if members wish to buy refreshments.
