From Europe to the Americas, Africa to Australasia, we’ll be pouring a hand-picked selection of our favourite wines from each continent – tasting them in real time and exploring what makes each unique. People talk a lot about Old World vs New World, tonight we'll consider how this eons-old debate can help us to understand terroir but how it can also cloud our judgement – we'll open our mind and celebrate the great diversity of winemaking on our big blue dot in the galaxy. No passport required, no jet lag – just a whirlwind tour of flavour, right here in Greenwich.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
