This presentation will cover ECG interpretation and the primary care management of common cardiac arrhythmias.

Arrhythmias or heart rhythm problems are experienced by more than 2 million people in the UK.
At this event, Dr Sothinathan Gurunathan will cover the main types of arrhythmia - including atrial fibrillation (AF), supraventricular tachycardia, bradycardia and heart block, advising on how best to manage them in primary care.
About the speaker
Dr Sothinathan Gurunathan is a Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in all areas of general cardiology, with particular expertise in advanced cardiovascular imaging, valvular heart disease, cardio-oncology and heart failure.
He treats patients with a variety of symptoms, including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and blackouts. He is also experienced in dealing with a range of cardiac disorders, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias, as well as assessing patients’ cardiovascular status prior to surgery.
