In Honour of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025 at Wirral Women and Children’s Hospital – Arrowe Park
Following the deeply moving success of our first event last year, we are honoured to invite you once again to join us for a special evening of remembrance during Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025.
Our Light Up a Loss Ceremony will gently illuminate the evening with personalised lanterns, created in memory of babies who left us far too soon—sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren. This event is a space for families, friends, and our community to come together in reflection, healing, and solidarity.
Let’s light up the darkness with love.
What to Expect
- Once registered, you will receive a luminating lantern with flameless with accessories to decorate in your own time. You may wish to write your baby’s name, a message, or simply bring it along as it is. (Please note these are ground lanterns and will not be released into the environment. You will have oppurtunity to take your lantern home after the event if you wish to).
- Last year’s lantern display created a peaceful and stunning atmosphere, with flameless candles lighting the room and offering a moment of peace and remembrance.
- The evening will include beautiful music from Sing Me Merseyside Choir and moving poetry readings by our staff.
- A Virtual Memorial Display will feature the names of our precious little ones.
