The London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) have teamed up with Strength of a Woman and Seduced by Art, to bring young people aged 15-25yrs together at this unique event to tackle the issue of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) during 16 Days of Activism using Art and “Spoken Word”.

16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence is an international campaign that commences on 25 November 2023 (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and ends on 10 December 2023 (Human Rights Day). 16 days is an opportunity for us at the VRU to highlight the injustice that women face, and an opportunity to encourage young Londoners to support us in combating this form of violence.

On the 8th December 2023, we are hoping to use this event to encourage young people to talk more about VAWG, whilst giving young people the opportunity to gain a better understanding on the subject and support young people at looking at ways that we can eliminate VAWG at the earliest of opportunity.

The aim of this event is to tackle the issue of VAWG via early intervention and prevention, using art as a vehicle. This event is for any youth organisation and their young people (aged 15-25yrs) that have an interest in or would like to gain a better understanding of VAWG using Art and ‘Spoken Word’.

Refreshments will be provided on the day.

The venue has disabled access and disabled toilet in multiple areas of the venue.
