British art of the twentieth century is outstanding for its range of interest, style and inherent individualism. From the impact of war to changing social values and bold new artistic movements, this period saw British artists experiment, respond and redefine what art could be.

In this course, you’ll explore the work of key painters and sculptors whose creativity shaped the century. You’ll also gain insight into the historical and cultural context behind their work, helping you better understand the meanings behind the images.
