Event description
The Council of Christians and Jews is pleased to welcome John Clark, an architectural glass artist whose work can seen all over the world.

About this Event

Born in Dumbarton, Clark trained at the Glasgow School of Art. In Scotland, his work includes the award-winning Shaw Memorial Window in Paisley Abbey, St. Margaret’s Newlands, the Lockerbie Memorial Window in Lockerbie Town Hall, the University of Strathclyde, the Scottish National Piping Centre, and the Glasgow Cathedral Millennium Window. He is coming to talk to us primarily about the twenty-two windows commissioned for the Queen’s Park Synagogue in Glasgow in 1994, which are now re-installed in Giffnock Synagogue (2005).

This is a rare opportunity to see the windows and hear the artist talk about the work. John will also discuss some of his other religiously-themed work in what promises to be a very rich and rewarding afternoon!

Tea, coffee and cakes will be served during the event.
