Art Class - Capturing spring flowers in the garden
Tue 25 April 2017, 10:30 – 16:00 BST
Use pastels to create your own spring-spired masterpiece!
Pastels are ideal for fast, loose drawings and perfect for capturing the bright colours of spring. Learn from respected local artist, Iain Grant as he gives you a refresher (or an introduction) to pastels before limbering up with quick sketches.
You’ll spend more time on a favourite piece, adding different media if the mood takes you. Benefit from Iain’s advice and enjoy a relaxed, practical day. Take home pastel drawings that will be a great reminder of spring in the garden. If the weather allows you’ll work in the garden.
This relaxed, practical course is suitable for beginners and those with more experience. Pastels are mucky – please wear old clothes and bring hand wipes!
If you have materials please bring them. As you may use other media to add to your final work, please bring any watercolours, gouache or acrylic paints you might want to work with. Iain will bring surfaces to work on and some spare materials to share.
