Art Class - Exploring colour harmonies in the garden
Tue 3 October 2017, 10:30 – 16:00 BST
In early autumn the garden is a blaze of deep colours, especially in the long borders and the reds and golds will be beginning in the acer glade. Imagine deep purples, dark reds and bright splashes or orange and blue. the colours in the garden are an artist's dream!
The class is with well known local artist, iain Grant. It will be outside if weather allows, or indoors with plenty of reference material.
Begin by sketching in the garden and gather information for an afternoon of painting back at the house. Choose your favourite medium, try different techniques and mix’n’match to create a number of paintings and sketches. Learn from Iain and enjoy a relaxed day in good company.
This relaxed, practical course is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.
Please bring your own materials, including sketch book pencils or charcoal, paper (or other support) to paint on, paints and brushes. Iain will have waterpots, boards and a range of watercolours, acrylics, brushes, knives and pastels if you want to try something new.
