About this event

As part of Birmingham Heritage Week, join us in an exploration of Birmingham's art deco architecture in a guided tour led by Christiane Worth around the city centre.

This year marks the centenary of the highly influential "Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes", which gave the movement its name. It then spread through Europe and America throughout the 1920s and 30s and influenced art, furniture and architecture with its clean, bold and geometric features. This walk will showcase the Art Deco architecture that Birmingham's city centre has to offer and is great for Art Deco enthusiasts and beginners alike!

This walk will begin outside Council House in Victoria Square and last approximately 90 minutes.
