Fee: £335 inclusive of all art materials

This course is designed for all those interested in the techniques art therapists​ use in their everyday work. It is a very practical based course that allows the individual to experiment in a number of mediums.

Week 1: The Safe Space
Week 2: The Self
Week 3: “I’m here, can you see me”
Week 4: Workshop: Mask making
Week 5: Dream Workshop. (Theme may change depending on the group dynamic)
Week 6: Group image
Week 7: Working with both sides of the brain.
Week 8: Painting and sculpting session
Week 9: Dependence & Independence
Week 10: Workshop - Celebration and Ritual / The Letting Go

Facilitator: Julie Buxton
Julie has been an Art Therapist for 24 years working with BCAT/ wide range of community groups/ in mental health clinics for adults and children/in prisons/schools and hospitals. She has led training workshops in the UK and abroad and regularly offers Supervision to students and Allied Health Practitioners. These workshops will offer opportunities for students interested in Art Therapy, newly qualified Practitioners and other professionals to participate in experiential sessions. To deepen awareness of self and art therapy processes. Materials will be provided unless otherwise stated for each workshop. Certificates of attendance awarded towards CPD requirements.
