About this event:
This month we are thrilled to handover to our wonderful ambassador and acclaimed British Artist Lucy Kent, who will lead you in a meditative landscape watercolour workshop.
We will be painting from photographs. You are so welcome to bring in a photograph (or one on your phone) of your own favourite view/place if you’d like. Otherwise we will bring some for you to choose from. All materials provided.
Lucy is a British artist living and working in Wiltshire. Working directly from life and combining knife and brush marks, Lucy’s work is energetic, vibrant and immersive. This promises to be a warm, gentle, beautiful session.
A Space Between monthly Open Art Table creative sessions will be a place to connect, to provide creative distraction from pain, emotional release and carve a moment of self-care in creative flow. ASB material is always carefully considered to make the practice of art accessible, cathartic and free. Their resources are entirely community-drawn - with contributions from artists, notable creatives and people of every age from around the world.
A Space Between founders Emily and Tianna came together through their own battles with mental illness and stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. They built ASB with a vision to - make the practice of art a powerful connector, widely accessible and integral to enhancing health, for people of all ages. Their programmes run across Hospitals, isolated communities and places of outreach. They deliver to several oncology wards, including a partnership with The Royal Marsden.
