Art in Motion: Voices of the Future - Professor Dale Harrow, RCA
Sat 6 May 2017, 11:00 – 12:00 BST
Professor Dale Harrow will be talking today on the process of designing a car, and how the changing nature of technology has a direct impact on that process and even consumer behaviour. This relationship enables the development of innovative design solutions to evolve within an established design process and culture. With environmental issues so dominant in affecting automobile architectures and their desirability, and with manufacturers under enormous pressure to evolve in a more sustainable way, Dale’s talk on the first Saturday of the exhibition will explore how the future might evolve from a car design perspective. It sets the tone for the month ahead, where the old and the new will be celebrated throughout Art in Motion: Knowledge and Design.
