Art in Sacred Space - Embodying the 4 elements

The dates: 4 June, 9 July, 6 August, 4 Sept

Time: 2pm to 6pm.

Facilitator: Elisa from Creativeflow Arts* and Inner Light Healing Studio.

Each session is available on a drop-in basis, however, we suggest attending the 4 sessions as a deeper and more complete exploration of the theme.

During this first series of workshops, we will work with the four elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. Through shamanic journeys, intuitive arts, and nature connection practices, we will awaken each element inside our body and will explore all its gifts. The four elements can help us to understand ourselves and our connection with nature in a much deeper way. They represent different aspects of life and are energy allies that we can access to balance our inner and outer experiences.

When we embody nature, we are free to be who we are and can connect with the deepest and sacred part of ourselves. The sessions are an invitation to remember that we are made of nature and can access her power to create at any time. Each session will offer an opportunity to explore different creative tools (painting, drawing, writing, movement, sound) and relax with guided shamanic meditations and nature connection practices.

EARTH: Groundiness, stability, nourishment, strength

FIRE: Passions, visions, dreams, intentions

WATER: Creativity, flow, movement, transformation

AIR: Lightness, stillness, wisdom, presence

Creating art in a sacred space allows us to explore our creative energy in a much deeper way. The space is supporting and holding us tightly so that we can move through the entire process with ease and grace.

Materials: earth pigments, oil pastels, soft pastels, watercolours

The workshop will be indoor but we will spend some time outdoor also, so please wear warm and comfortable clothes. Bring with you a blanket for relaxation, some water, and a notebook.

Please bring a packed lunch. We will have an opportunity to seat around the fire and cups of tea will be provided.

Meet at The Planetary Healing Community Woodland, Cockburnhill Road, Balerno, EH14 7JB. Bus 44 / 44A. Stop at the third bus stop after the roundabout, enter Cockburnhill Road, walk approximately 15 minutes, at the V junction turn right and walk 2 minutes.

If you cannot make a donation, you can access this project for FREE or donate £1.

If you need support with transportation costs or walking for 15 min is difficult for you, please get in touch with us for a lift from the bust stop to the woodland on the day.
