Art in the Orchard Lino printing workshop
Immerse yourself in the inspirational autumnal loveliness of Crailing Community Orchard for a fun and creative half day lino print workshop with printmaker Juliet from @wheretheskylarksings.
Experience the joy of printmaking in a picturesque setting, surrounded by birdsong and butterflies.
Learn the basics of lino printing and create your own unique prints to take home. No prior experience (or drawing ability) is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide the rest.
What you will learn;
- how to transfer a design onto the lino surface
- how to (safely) carve out your image
- how to roll out ink onto the surface of your block and print it by hand
Autumnal inspired designs will be provided, alternatively you can bring your own ideas or take inspiration from your surroundings.
We will be working with small square blocks, perfect for fitting into square frames (perhaps for gifts?) or for printing your own cards at home if you catch the printmaking bug!
