Enjoy the freedom of painting and sketching in the open air.
This is a four hour workshop where we will be painting with watercolour paints outdoors, visiting the stunning surroundings of the Sudbury water meadows. We will try our best to experience and imagine how John Constable painted the beautiful landscapes of Suffolk.
In this workshop we will be covering the rules of composition, perspective, mixing colours, light and shade by observing the change of the atmosphere with the change of the natural light. We will be using wet on wet, dry on wet and other watercolour techniques.
Having a portable easel and a good set of watercolour pencils, paints, brushes, very good quality watercolour paper, and a small stool for sitting will be essential to have for this workshop. If you have any questions regarding materials please ask.
Please meet at West Suffolk College Sudbury first, where you will then walk to a lovely spot in the meadows.
If you have enjoyed our Drawing and Painting with Watercolour classes, this will be a great way to apply your artistic skills outside under the expert guidance of our friendly tutor Marina.
