Art of Drapery: interiors
Sat 22 April 2017, 13:30 – 15:00 BST
Much that we know about textiles used in interiors dating from the 16th to 19th centuries comes from paintings and watercoloured engravings. This talk focuses on the artists who excelled at capturing such textiles in detail, while giving a chronological survey of the tastes during these centuries.
