FREE* 5-week course for adults aged 19 yrs +

This relaxed and friendly course is a chance to be playful and experimental, to take some time out and try your hand at creative activities using colour as a starting point. Each week we'll try a different colour-based activity with the opportunity to follow set tasks as well as exploring your own ideas.

Does red make you feel energetic or agitated? Blue calm or sad? We all have ways we respond to colour - things we will or won't wear, or how we like a room to look and feel. We will explore colour through a range of activities including collage and collection; working with words; and painting and picture making.

Ideal for beginners and returners!

Materials are provided.

Venue: This course takes place in the Art Room at Exeter Community Centre. Please note the Art Room is on the top floor of the building. While there is an accessible lift to the floor below, there is a flight of stairs to get into the Art Room.

Times and Attendance:

Takes place Tuesdays from April 22 to May 20, 2025.

We start at 10am and finish at 12:30pm. There will be a short break. There is a lovely cafe on site for drinks and snacks, or feel free to bring your own refreshments.

What to wear:

We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little bit messy. You may want to bring along an apron.

Commitment: we ask learners to try and commit to the full 5-week course to enable everyone to get the most from the sessions.

Courses are popular and we run a waiting list on our Eventbrite courses, please cancel your ticket, or advise us before course start if you are no longer able to attend so we can offer your place to somebody else.
