The latest in the Art Unlocked series. Join Art UK and The Watt Institution in exploring selected artworks from their collection.

About this event

Art Unlocked is a new online event series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies. Each week, different museum and gallery curators and directors from across the UK will deliver a 30-minute talk on selected works from their collection.

For our latest talk, join Art UK and Noel Griffin, Visitor Assistant at The Watt Institution, for an exciting exploration of some notable works from this collection on 29th June 2022, 5:30pm.

Art Unlocked is delivered over Zoom Webinar and can be accessed via the event page once you have registered. There will be a short Q&A session after the talk.

The talk is free but there is the option to donate to The Watt Institution alongside your ticket. Any donations are much appreciated and go towards supporting the UK's national collection.

About The Watt Institution

The fine art collection at The Watt Institution comprising the Mclean Museum and Art Gallery, contains some 430 oil paintings, the product of over 135 years of collecting. The Inverclyde area has a long and distinguished tradition of producing artists who have contributed enormously to the development of art in Scotland and beyond. In addition to works produced by local artists, the collection contains many works by notable Scottish artists as well as including a wide range of European and American artists. Highlights of the collection include works by The Glasgow Boys, The Scottish Colourists and American Tonalists.

You can follow The Watt Institution on Twitter and Facebook.
