Is the route accessible?

Accepted Answer

The route is level and paved and will visit stops with seating, accessible toilets and water refill stations. However, it will cover about 7km of walking across the afternoon, so will not be suitable for all people.

Can I bring children?

The content of this walk is focussed on adults, and requires a significant amount of walking. Children can come accompanied by guardians but may not find the content entertaining, and some exhibitions visited have some explicit language and nudity.

Can I see the route?

A Google Maps link with the route, including extra information about all the stops, will be sent to registered attendees shortly before the event.

Where does the event end?

Accepted Answer

The event ends at Canada Water Library by 17:00, where there will be an opportunity to enjoy the library space, become a member and browse books relevant to the topics covered on the talk.

Do I need to be a library member?

You do not need to be a member of Southwark Libraries to join. However, anyone can apply for free membership, even if they don't live in Southwark: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/culture-and-sport/libraries/join-library

No, you can join us on the day without a ticket, subject to capacity. We encourage booking a ticket to ensure you place and to get access to updates ahead of the event, including links to the route in advance.
