Join local artists Alice and Sophie at God’s House Tower for a hands-on camouflage workshop inspired by the legendary Green Man. Together, we’ll explore how nature uses disguise to survive and thrive, from leaves to wildlife patterns.
Using flowers, blackberries, mud, and other natural materials gathered from Caustic Bloom patches, you’ll design your own camouflage prints. Ending the session at James’s patch for a playful game of hide and seek, with a unique photo session to capture your transformation.
All materials will be provided – bring your curiosity and a willingness to get muddy.
What to expect at these workshops
This workshop will be active, moving from space to space outdoors, so parents and guardians must accompany their children when leaving God's House Tower.
Workshops in the Cafe Extension: Access to the cafe extension is step free Lower Canal Walk and there is a ramp available should you need it to access the cafe, toilets and rest of the building. The courtyard also has step free access from the corner of lower canal walk and town quay road.
Getting Here: GHT is a 25-minute walk from Southampton Central Train station and is on a number of local bus routes. Our closest car parks are Gloucester Square and Mayflower park. This part of the city can get very busy with traffic from the cruise ship terminals at this time of year so please do allow for extra time if you’re driving.
