In this workshop, I’ll guide you through the secrets of layering and the magic of building an abstract impressionist landscape that truly comes alive on canvas. Together, we’ll explore how colours flow, how textures add depth, and how a painting begins to sing.
There is no need to bring perfection—just bring curiosity. You’ll leave not only with a vibrant, textured artwork to be proud of, but also with new techniques, fresh inspiration, and that unforgettable spark of creativity.
We’ll begin with a step-by-step demonstration, where I’ll talk through the process of gradually building up our paintings. Once everyone feels confident, I’ll encourage each person to choose their own colours and start creating the background. As the session progresses, I’ll move around the room, chatting with participants, offering tips, and showing small techniques to help bring their ideas to life.
When the backgrounds are complete, we’ll shift our focus to developing the main composition — whether that’s painting flowers, trees, or something more abstract. Everyone will have the opportunity to share what they love about their work and consider what they might like to refine, so that by the end of the session, each person feels proud of their finished piece.
This approach encourages creative freedom, allowing everyone to explore their own colour palettes and produce something uniquely personal. No two paintings are ever the same — each one becomes a distinctive and beautiful reflection of its creator.
