An art evening for the pathologically curious.
Join us for an evening of talks about art and its whereabouts and discover the processes and works of 5 ground-breaking artists, from up-and-coming young designers to established poets!
This time we give you:
- mixed-media artist and mask maker Anaïs Lalange talking about collages, hoods, wrestling, kink and contemporary art
- experimental poet Astra Papachristodoulou talking about neo-futurism, ecology and contemporary poetry
- innovative poet and academic David Ashford from Contraband Books with a talk about Homer, the primacy of performance and the nature of inspiration
- interaction designer J Whitehead talking about catharsis and interactive art as a shared healing experience
- musician and teacher Ryan O'Riordan discussing musical trauma, how the brain processes music and the relationship between a non-singer and their experiences with music
On the event, you can buy poetry books by Astra Papachristodoulou, David Ashford and Michał Piotrowski, and books from Veer Books and Contraband Books. With a discount! Yay! :)
