It will be sent to everyone at the smae time - so all candidates have the same time to prepare. It will be different at each workshop - and devised by the tutors who will be holding the sessions on each day (you will meet 3 of our 15 staff at each session).

All workshops/interviews are held at our home venue - South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire.

You will need to arrive 15 mins before the start time to complete a form for us. Look for our banner in the lobby and you will be directed our space.

  • Please bring a photocopy (no originals) of your current passport. If your passport has expired, or will do before the end of 2019, please bring a copy of your birth certificate instead. This is needed for proof of age and your full legal name (if you are offered and accept a place, this will be used to register you wilth exam boards and must be accurate).

  • If you have an ECHP - you need to bring a copy.

All information will be kept secure. Any personal forms are only seen by funding staff for Artemis and Big Creative Training, our funding partners. All is kept secure and will be destroyed if not needed.

You will take part in workshops with our college tutors. One in acting, and then a combined singing and dancing workshop. You will then perform prepared solos.

We want to see you being confident, using the space and entertaining the audience. You do not need to be perfect, but you do need to show promise that with some intensive training with our teachers - you can work towards a creative career (on or off stage).

We will be looking not only for skills as a performers, but the ability to fit in with others, listen and take direction from directors, and also a good balance within the cast of boys and girls, actors and musical theatre performers (the course includes both strands).

You will be met by Rosie Hill, who is an Artemis director. She will be able to answer questions for you on the day. There will be a 20 minute Q&A for parents and students at the end of the workshops, or just before interviews.

The sessions run as follows:

Registration opens.

Acting workshop.

Musical Theatre (combined singing and dance) workshop

Solo auditions (prepared 60 second sample piece)

Q&A (parents welcome)

One to one interviews with tutors. These will finish once everyone has been seen.

We will have accepted a maximum of 10 auditionees for your session. If you are unable to attend after you book - please let us know so we can offer the spot to someone else.

You are welcome to come to the building at any point before the auditions to look around. It is a beautiful and inspiring setting for training in performing arts. The building is open to the public from 10am daily. Our tutors will only be on hand for questions during/just after the auditions I'm afraid (you are very welcome to email us at any time though).

We won't make offers on the day. You will be sent an email by Friday following your workshop, with either a conditional or unconditional offer (depending on your GCSE status), OR a request to come to a recall audition so we can see more of you, OR if you are declined a place - some suggestions to help you re-apply for 2020 or find a course with another provider that better meets your needs.

Unlike a normal college - we don't accept everyone who applies - we are looking for ambitious young people who want a creative career and are prepared to work hard to get it. You do not need to be polished, but you must show raw potential and a willingness to listen and learn.

We have courses at 3, and a gap year course for students who will already have A levels or a L3 Btec/UAL. The 2019 year groups will have a maximum of 40 students across two classes - so you get a lot of individual attention.

We look forward to meeting you!
