After the great success at our first Art Battle (see images of it here) at RAW Artists Showcase last week, artFix is hosting its weekly Art Battle event at the artFix Store in the heart of Soho.
Every Tuesday two artists from various disciplines compete with each other, at the artFix store. They will be each be provided a blank canvas, courtesy of Cass Art, but may choose to work in whatever artistic medium or style they prefer. The artists will each get half an hour to create their pieces, live in front of the audience. Once complete, the audience evaluates the art works, expressing their personal thoughts and choosing a winner according to three main topics: Concept and Imagination, Execution and Draftsmanship and, finally, Media and Materials.
Our artists this week are Adam Ralph, a painter studying Fine Art at Central St. Martin's, who will compete against Alba Haut, a photographer. Their subject for the battle will be artFix's very own Maggie Poppy Moursy, manager of the artFix store. She will be the artist's muse as they depict her in their own unique mediums!
The winning artists will have the opportunity to display their work at the artFix store for a week, with the possibility of further collaborations free of charge. Moreover, all the winners will be invited to take part in a collective exhibition at the end of March.
Come down to the artFix store, see some art come to life before your very eyes, and be a part of the discussion!
