Event Description

Wednesday 22nd October 2025 Full-Day Training (at Exeter Future Skills Centre)

Session 1: Reflections and Perspectives – Advancements, Hopes & Concerns

Kicking off the day, we begin with a structured reflection. What excites us about AI? What worries us? Using a "Sails and Anchors" design sprint, leaders collaborate to identify promising opportunities and potential pitfalls. This shared thinking sets the tone for meaningful learning throughout the day.

Session 2: Enhancing Leadership with NotebookLM

In this hands-on session, we explore how NotebookLM can support school leaders in managing complex information, streamlining decisions, and fostering professional growth. Attendees will leave with clear strategies to embed this tool in their leadership practice for more effective and informed work.

Session 3: Leveraging Chatbots for Creativity and Efficiency

From lesson planning to strategic planning, chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini are proving to be powerful allies. In this practical session, we dig into real-world applications—showing how these tools can unlock creativity, save time, and sharpen thinking.

Session 4: Empowering Classrooms – Teacher Tools Part 1

This workshop introduces AI tools already transforming classrooms. We'll look at how these technologies can support personalisation, streamline assessment, and free up time for what really matters—teaching and learning. Leaders will leave with a curated list of tools to share with staff.

Session 5: Expanding Classroom Innovations – Teacher Tools Part 2

Picking up where the previous session left off, we go deeper into AI integration in teaching practice. Using case studies and hands-on tasks, leaders explore how to help their teams make smart, ethical, and effective use of these innovations.

Session 6: Navigating Ethical Boundaries – Policy Considerations

With new tools come new responsibilities. This session encourages leaders to think carefully about what AI should—and shouldn't—do in schools. Through collaborative dialogue, we’ll explore how to create clear, values-based policies that protect students and staff while enabling innovation.

Wednesday 28th January 2026 1600-1700: Strategic Opportunities – Spotting Gaps and Creating Intent (The What)

Once we understand why strategy matters, we dive into what it looks like in action. Where are the opportunities for innovation? What needs attention in your current approach? Leaders will learn to identify high-impact focus areas and shape intentional, realistic goals.

Wdnesday 4th March 2026 1600-1700: From Vision to Action – Developing a Flexible Roadmap (The How)
