About this event

Join us on May 26th & 27th from 10am to 4pm as Papplewick Pumping Station is in steam and hosts its second Artisan Fair. Experience heart-pounding speed chainsaw sculpting contests. Explore the artisan traders’ market and enjoy live music on Sunday by the talented folk singer, Paul Carbuncle. On Monday, get ready for the high-energy performance by the returning Tengu Taiko, Japanese Drummers.

Throughout the weekend you can peruse a variety of artisanal craft vendors, engage in interactive and creative activities, and let the little ones blow off some steam in the new woodland play area whilst enjoying a well-deserved cup of tea and a treat from our café.

Or simply relax with a craft beer from Lincoln Green or Bakers Dozen. Sit back with an artisan gin cocktail from Locksley distillery and take in the beauty of the gardens. Our greenhouse will be stocked with an array of plants available for purchase, perfect for filling any empty spots in your garden.

For a small fee of £4 per adult and £1 per child, embark on tours of the awe-inspiring underground reservoir. Papplewick will also be showcasing it’s impressive James Watt pumping Engines in action. Additionally, marvel at the full-sized steam roller, take a ride on the miniature railway and see the Robey winding engine from Linby Colliery. So much to see and do!
