Are you interested in meeting exhibiting artists?
Does exhibiting at an artist fair tempt you?
If you have answered YES to any of the above, our forthcoming visit to The Other Art Fair will be right up your street!
There are two ticket options: Tour only OR Tour + workshop
About the Tour:
Over a 1-hour period (12-1pm), you'll get an introduction to the fair and will visit 7 stands.
Art world insider Susan Mumford will lead the tour, providing insight on how the fair works with artists, and analysing impact of stands, with factors ranging from layout to selection of works on display, and from marketing materials to engagement with visitors. Showing artists will be invited to give insight about their practice and presentation, which is insightful for tour-goers, as well as for public speaking skills of those exhibiting artists!
Following the Tour, you'll have a one-hour lunch break from 1-2pm.
About the Workshop:
Attendees will reconvene at Cockpit Arts (Cockpit Yard, Northington Street, London WC1N 2NP) at 2pm, and the professional development session will kick-off at 2.15pm, finsihing at 3.45pm.
This interactive workshop will walk you through:
> The application process, including how to increase the likelihood of being accepted as an exhibitor;
> Your promotional plan for an artist fair;
> DOs & DON'Ts on site at the venue (this will pick up on what you saw during the tour); and
> Effectively follow-up to an artist fair, so that the event keeps on giving for the weeks, months and years following.
Questions will be taken throughout the session, to address your individual needs and interests.
