About this event

Come and create a participatory artwork through mark-making with anything but your hands! Explore using mark-making tools provided, designed to be moved with elbows, faces, feet, and knees. Experiment to see the different ways you end up drawing and painting when you use a different part of your body to do it. If you have any questions about what's involved and access needs relating to this please give us an email to laura@jelly.org.uk

Ruby is a multidisciplinary artist specialising in installation, performance, and sculpture. They've been leading family art workshops with the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne inspired by their practice.

The session is drop in and open to all ages and generations to come and make together. The studios capacity is 20, so if we become full we may need to ask you to wait till space becomes available.

This is a free activity with the option to donate to Jelly if you are able.

For families - an adult is required to stay with their child throughout the duration of the session.

Frequently asked questions

Where are you based?

Our studios are located within Broad St Mall. You can find us on the first floor. We are the last unit before the toilets and exit to the carpark. If you get lost please ask any Broad St Mall security guard and they will direct you.

If I cannot make my paid workshop, can I transfer my ticket to another event or get a refund?

We offer refunds if you contact us at least 7 days before the event. After this, they are unavailable. Within 48 hours, you can ask about our waiting list, and we’ll try to transfer your ticket. As a charity, we keep ticket prices low and offer ‘pay what you can’ and donation option

Can I arrive early?

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the workshop to allow our host time to set up and create a welcoming space. If you'd like to see the space beforehand, we can provide photos or arrange a visit. We want you and your family to feel comfortable and excited about the experience!
