About this Session
This 60 minute online CPD explores practical, studio-informed ways to use artist references that genuinely deepen students’ thinking. We look at inclusive, contemporary examples and simple routines that help learners make meaningful connections, develop visual literacy and build confidence in their own ideas.
In this session, we explore
- Clear, adaptable strategies for selecting and introducing artist references
- Ways to support richer dialogue, interpretation and creative decision-making
- Approaches that work across secondary and pre-university pathways, including GCSE, A-Level, IB Visual Arts and international equivalents
