What is an artist statement?

An artist statement is a short piece of text that helps others understand your work better. It can vary from a cv- style biography in paragraph form to poetic reflections of your processes. This workshop will help you find the most appropriate form for your current work and context.

Do I have to share my statement with everyone?

No, you don't. It is entirely voluntary. You will still gain a lot from doing the individual writing exercises, and participating in the collective editing.

Will you run more of these?

Yes - perhaps every 2 months, as a drop in session - more info to follow.
