About this Event

Artists Behind the Mask is a series of workshops over four weeks, exclusively for creative arts practitioners. Whether you are a musician, writer, thespian, singer or anything in between, through these workshops, you will learn advanced story-telling skills and techniques, enhanced by creative work with masks and the visual arts. You will also gain new skills in character work, writing, performing, improvisation, narrative exploration and visual arts which you can take into your creative practice. It will also offer you a space to explore how the extraordinary events of 2020 have impacted the creative arts industry by looking at the psychology behind the visuals and delve into the human psyche.
Each workshop will build upon a story, after which acclaimed storyteller, writer and performer Paul Cree will coach you towards a short visual performance which you can choose to perform in, or you have the opportunity to work with and direct Paul to perform your piece, giving you a fresh perspective on your work.
You can book your tickets to all four workshops on this page. £35 for all four workshops, or £10 per workshop if you only want to attend specific events.
