Dealing with Plastics and Water Pollution: From the Land to the Sea
Tuesday 18 August 2015, 19:30-21:30
1st Floor, Bordeaux Quay
Free, but booking required

Join us for an evening of presentations and films addressing plastics and water pollution, featuring:

Dom Ferris, Surfers Against Sewage
Mohammed Saddiq, Director, Wessex Water, on the GENeco waste water technology
Jo Ruxton, producer, showing sequences from her film The Cry of the Whale
Edward Kosior, world-renowned specialist on new recycling technologies
Natalie Fee, TV presenter and founder of City to Sea

This event is part of an Artists Project Earth (APE) series focusing on the beauty and fragility of ocean life, accompanying the Bristol Whales sculpture in Millenium Square. The Bristol Whales project was intiatited by APE two years ago. Funded by the Arts Council and APE, and overseen by Bristol 2015, it is the most visible manifestation of Bristol's year as European Green Capital. Built and designed by Bristol company Codsteaks, the sculpture allows people to get up close and personal with the world's largest creatures, and to understand the increasing human threats to ocean life.

This event is free but booking is required. Please either bring a print out of the confirmation or show it on your smartphone at the door. Tickets are limited to this event so if you are no longer able to attend, please contact us so we can offer your ticket to someone else. Events start punctually and, out of consideration to other audience members and speakers, our policy is not to admit latecomers.

Note that we have restricted the number of tickets that can be booked to one per transaction. This has been introduced in an effort to stop people automatically booking multiple tickets without confirming if they have guests to go with them. We hope this will help to limit the number of 'no shows' at our free events, which currently run at around 35% of bookings, as well as some of the last minute cancellations and waiting list adjustments we have to administer. We will monitor the situation. If you need more than one ticket, you can click on the booking link again. The little extra effort involved will hopefully put off those who don’t really need more than one, but not those who do.

Please ensure you use the correct email address. This is where your ticket will be sent. If you do not provide the correct address, you will not receive the acknowledgement email or ticket.
