Artist's Talk - Robert H. King
Overview
Creativity, Resilience and Mental Health.
Photography is not the most obvious coping mechanism for sight loss and its associated physical and mental challenges. However, for Clydebank based digital photographic artist Robert H. King found his creative voice through it.
When everything feels heavy, making something, anything, is a way of saying, “I’m still here.” Take a photograph, draw, write, whatever keeps the spark alive. Creating isn’t about ignoring pain, it’s about pushing back against it, one small act at a time. Because creativity is self-care and every bit of it helps you heal and reflect upon yourself. Create, despite the struggle. Create as an act of defiance.
Come along and join Robert for an informal talk and presentation on his practice, its themes and how these have developed.
