The quality leads for the out of hospital training programme have now advised that all Spirometry training going forward must be ARTP recognised and staff should be working towards the certification. Following this H&F CEPN have been able to secure bespoke training for practices in H&F.
HCAs should attend one full training day (Day 1), and nurses and GPs two full training days (Day 1 and Day 2).
The two days will cover how to perform and interpret Spirometry, giving comprehensive knowledge for BTS/ARTP full competency certificate in Spirometry. Day 1 is mainly targeted at health professional that perform the test enabling them to become competent at performing quality Spirometry. Day 2 is for interpretation, reference, BD response and case study.
