Description

Arts and Place Regional Conversation
Tuesday 6 March 2018, 12:00 –17:00

This half-day seminar - including a panel discussion, shared meal and workshops - will
delve into questions around embedding the arts and artists in place: bringing together artists, programmers, architects, planners and community workers. This event is
part of a series of conversations gathering regional voices held by the Arts and Place Working Group, part of the Place Alliance.

This event builds on a series of workshops and conversations held at Primary as part of our Public Programme, including ‘Art, Public and the Commons’ (September 2017) and extends questions we are exploring through our long-term Making Place programme.

Contributors include:
Aldo Rinaldi, Freelance producer & former Senior Public Art Officer, Bristol City Council
Boseda Olawoye, Creative Engagement Manager for Threshold Studios and independent Engagement Curator
Charles Quick, Professor of Public Art Practice at UCLAN, Co-Founder of In Certain Places
Diane Dever, Director of Folkestone Fringe
Suzannah Bedford, Creative Director at The Renewal Trust, Nottingham - developing the Place project
Wolfgang Buttress, Artist

Full programme coming soon.
