Event description

Description

We would like to invite you to attend a free Arts Award support session being held in Taunton on 23rd January from 1.00pm-4.00pm that focuses on delivery of Arts Award Discover and Explore for museums and heritage settings.

Designed specifically for museums and heritage settings, this hands on and practical session will look at how Arts Award can be used as a tool to support your engagement of children, young people and families.

Many museums are already seeing the benefit of running Discover Arts Award as a way of accrediting their existing provision and offering ways for families to work together. Come along to this free session which will include:

  • An opportunity to meet with an Arts Award moderator
  • Examples of good practice and case studies relevant to the museum and heritage sector
  • An opportunity to look at bespoke log books and start to create your own for use in your setting
  • A chance to network with other advisers working in similar settings

This event is being delivered by the Real Ideas Organisation and hosted by South West Heritage Trust.

RIO (Real Ideas Organisation) is the Arts Council South West Bridge Organisation supporting organisations all across the South West to deliver excellent cultural education for children and young people.

South West Heritage Trust operates across six main sites, delivering a wide range of heritage experiences for people of all ages and works with many local and strategic partners, including Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

This free event is funded through RIO's delivery as an Arts Award Support Organisation with Trinity College London.
