About Steven:

Born in Australia in 1965, Steven danced for Nederlands Dans Teatre II under Jiri Kylian and Rambert Dance Company directed by Richard Alston. He stayed there as a dancer for 10 years, later working with Christopher Bruce.

In 2008 Steven was appointed Executive Producer of Pacitti Company and SPILL Festival of Performance, the UK’s largest artist-led festival of experimental theatre and liveart, with events being staged in venues across London, including Barbican, Southbank, Soho Theatre, Shunt Vaults, Soho Square and Shoreditch Town Hall.

Steven runs the Nightingale Theatre in Brighton, a virtual artist development, residency and performance space. He works as assistant to Christopher Bruce, setting his pieces on companies in Europe and America. He also freelances as a creative producer, mentor, teacher and consultant.

Currently Steven is the programme manager for North, Central and Latin America and the Caribbean for Theatre and Dance.

Predominantly for dance artists, these free advice sessions are a place for discussion, advice, support and guidance on a one-to-one basis.

Sessions are 45 minutes, but please allow one hour so you can fill out an evaluation form at the end. This is a guidance only session and does not constitute an ongoing relationship of support from the organisation. CDS will provide signposting and further support networks.
