‘School of Lockdown: The Lab’

A playground of ideas.

‘The Lab’ is a curated space of FREE online workshops to fight Lockdown 2021 with knowledge and community.

Imagine a test bed for established, exciting facilitators and professional artists to experiment with freshly-baked online workshops; across spoken word, music, beatbox, visual art, mental health and social action. And YOU are invited.

All guests are School of Lockdown ‘Gold Award’ winners - applying new digital skills learned in our programmes to deliver workshops to online audiences to improve their career development in these difficult times for freelancers.

School of Lockdown is a masterclass series by Lyrix Organix - for independent artists and self-employed creatives whose livelihoods have been crippled by the pandemic. Each series was accompanied by an Award programme (mentoring and free tech equipment) to invited artists with promising careers that need support to break through the digital ceiling. School of Lockdown is supported by Arts Council England.

Lyrix Organix are committed to working at the grassroots to build sustainable futures in a new era of crisis and uncertainty in the creative industries. Previous guests include Akala, Kae Tempest, Kojey Radical and Mike Skinner. Educational partnerships include Roundhouse, BIMM and worldwide with British Council.
