Stand Up Comedy

Welcome back Darren Mortiboy and his Morti-Fied Stand Up Comedy sensation.

Once again we finish the 7 days of Henley in Arden's Arts4All with another incredible line including The Boys From The All Night Chemist Club and Headliner Steve Day.

Steve Day describes himself as Britain's only deaf comedian, if there are others he hasn't heard.

For the past 11 years Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country and abroad, well they tell him the laughter was large to humour him, he doesn't know either way.

Married with five children, a fact nothing to do with not being able to hear the word 'No', Steve has been described as 'warm and witty' and has received rave reviews whilst performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Chortle.co.uk gave him five stars for Deafy's Island Discs, a show The Sunday Times called 'Funny and Moving'.

This show toured the UK, Steve's third national tour and has been performed in several countries in Europe and translated into Italian.

No-one knows why. A familiar voice on Radio 4, Steve has appeared many times on You and Yours, was a token man on Woman's Hour, has appeared in two radio dramas, All Fingers and Thumbs with Bill Nighy, whom he punched dramatically, and Sound Barriers with Patricia Routledge and Caroline Quentin, both of whom he was prevented from punching.

A disabled performer, Steve is happy to 'deaf it up' as necessary if the money is ok and there are sandwiches.

Steve Day is supported by Tony Barrett and Tony Edwards better known as Boy’s from the All Night Chemist. Having gotten bored with being accomplished guitarist the pair turned their attention on performing hilarious songs singing about things men of their age shouldn’t sing about. A chance meeting at a festival with a Canadian super star comedian saw them catapulted to Tom Stade’s tour support in 2019 and resulted in the pair recording an album. The two Tonys’ are now regular headliner’s themselves on the comedy circuit and recently appeared on a BBC Radio 4 special

Also in in Support is Midlands funny man Steve Devey and holding the night together your MC for the evening is Theo Theobald. His hilarious poems about looking for love at H&M and imaginary ailments is bound to have the audience in stitches.

All in all an incredible evening and a massive end to the 2020 Arts4All Week

Not to be missed!!!!
