Artsmark Development Day
Event Information
About this Event
*Please note you must be registered for Artsmark via the Artsmark website in order to attend a Development Day.*
In response to the current COVID-19 situation, we are pleased to be offering a number of digital Artsmark Development Days for schools and educational settings in the South East.
This training session will help those new to the Artsmark award to develop their understanding of the Artsmark process and the many benefits of working towards the award. You will get to know the Quality Principles that underpin your Artsmark journey, and discover the support tools and resources available to you.
We will support you in high levels of planning, helping you to draft your Statement of Commitment and equipping you to start working towards bringing your creative aspirations to fruition for the children and young people you work with. You will also have the opportunity to network with other schools and education settings.
This training will be split over 2 sessions to allow a break for lunch. There will also be a comfort break in both the morning and afternoon session at the discretion of the trainer.
Two members of staff from your school or education setting are required to attend, one of which must be a member of your Senior Leadership Team. To achieve your Artsmark award you must have the support and endorsement of school/setting leaders in order to effectively embed the arts and culture across the whole school/setting.
We will be adding you to our Artsmark forum on Basecamp as part of this support offer.
Please note: For best experience we recommend that you participate from a quiet space in your home using a computer (with a camera & microphone). This session is designed for participation and attendees will be asked to switch on their cameras throughout the session.
We look forward to supporting you.
