These have been unusual times for schools – and for those on the Artsmark journey, there will be big differences between what you had planned to do and what you have actually been able to achieve in this time.

For many settings it will have a been a long time since you attended your Artsmark Development Training (formally known as the Development Day).

So, with this in mind, these half day refresher sessions are an opportunity to remind staff leading the Artsmark in their schools of the overall Artsmark journey, the processes and key milestones, and how to write your Statement of Commitment.

You will be able to look at where your setting now sits within the eight Artsmark criteria and how this now interacts with your School Improvement Plan, values and ethos. We will go through the documents in your Development pack, making sure you have everything you need to re-start your journey.

There will be a chance to share experiences with other arts teachers, and to have facilitated discussions about the arts and Artsmark right now and how you can move forward in your journey.
